The Vienna Biocenter boasts a diverse array of research projects. The summer program is structured such that each participant collaborates closely and independently with a faculty member. Renowned for its highly accomplished faculty, the Biocenter has seen experts like Kim Nasmyth, a recipient of the Breakthrough Prize in life sciences for groundbreaking work on chromosome segregation, and Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna, Nobel Prize laureates in Chemistry (2020). This international summer initiative serves as a platform for promising students to learn from influential personalities.

The Vienna Biocenter stands as a consortium of five leading European research centers, providing exceptional undergraduate students a practical gateway to these top research institutions. Projects in the Biocenter revolve around the latest topics in molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, bioinformatics, RNA, stem cells, and biochemistry.
